Strange Bedfellows is a performance of two one-act plays at the Barbara Barrett Theatre.

The event starts with ‘An Unmarked Door’; a comedy written by Cullam Bruce-Lockhart - and then continues into ‘Over Coffee’; a drama written by Patrick De Moss. The two plays are produced under the banners of Cool Pond Productions and Moonchild and Me Productions, respectively, and put on in collaboration with St. John’s Players.

An Unmarked Door

After the death of her overbearing husband, a traditional church lady begins to sample more of life’s menu. An Unmarked Door is a comedy about sex, religion, family, age, and expectations. Written by Cullam Bruce-Lockhart, directed by Annalise Smith.

We did a scene from this at ‘St John’s Shorts’ if you’re not concerned about spoilers.

Over Coffee

Four stories. Five lives. Over Coffee is a lyrical, raw, and powerful drama set over the course of an hour in a Montreal coffee shop on a rainy afternoon. Loosely inspired by T.S. Eliot’s “The Waste Land,” Over Coffee asks what it means to be alone in the modern world, and what it takes to finally come together. Written and directed by Patrick De Moss. Performance Dates

The performances will run from May 23 - May 25th at the Barbarra Barrett Theatre (in the basement of the Arts and Culture Center)
